Portal Frame Primary Structure
Columns, rafters, haunches, apex connections and base plates for standard and specialist portal frame buildings. We fabricate the full range of primary structural elements - from single-span agricultural portals to wide multi-bay industrial frames. Every component is cut, drilled and welded to issued structural drawings at our Cinderford workshop.

Secondary Steelwork & Connections
Purlins, side rails, bracing systems, eaves beams and gable frames - the full secondary steel package that completes the building envelope structure. We also produce all structural connections in-house: bolted and welded joints to specification, including base plates, moment connections and splices. Connections are checked against the structural engineer's drawings before dispatch.

Bespoke & Complex Sections
Non-standard sections, specialist connections and bespoke structural elements for complex building forms. If the structural engineer has specified something beyond a standard portal, our fabrication team can work from shop drawings to deliver it. We also fabricate structural mezzanine frames where required within building projects.

BS EN 1090 and UK Quality Standards
All structural steelwork fabricated for permanent use in UK buildings must comply with BS EN 1090 - the European standard for execution of steel structures. It sets out execution classes depending on structural complexity and consequence of failure. Welding must be carried out by qualified welders to the appropriate execution class.
